Last night, Ann Margaret and I heard a knock on the door. It was loud and urgent sounding. I went out in the front yard but all I saw was the neighbor girl that lives across the street, sitting in the grass futzing with her bike. She said she didn’t see anyone, and it turns out she was right. It wasn’t a person and it wasn’t a knock. It was the sound and impact of a town 55 miles south of us exploding.
